The guy is awesome!

And let's go Yanks, at least against the Devil Rays this week. Pull um in a little closer so the Red Sox will be in striking distance

NO WAY!
I never ever root for the Yankees. I don't want any Yankee "help" to reach the division . Go Rays beat the Yanks!!

I'm with Oli in France here. Nothing and I mean nothing will ever let me root for the Yankees.

Damn Yankees! They almost came back last night and beat the Rays! I'd take bing only 2 and a half back.

Seems Rays hve a lot of games to make up. Maybe their bull pen will get tired and used up down the stretch

Better check your math...they've played one fewer game (139) than the Sox and Yanks (140)...

They have the same number of DH'ers down the stretch - one - that the Sox have, and the Sox have just one more day off in September.

Not off the a good start, down 9-4 in the 4th.

And it didn't get much better after that. Timmy Wakefield just didn't have it last night. Getting Lowell back is nice and I'm glad Casey is back, also even though he doesn't play that much. Beckett said his arm feels fine after pitching the day before and that is great news! Monday is start of Rays series, should be a good one

And they blow the game tonight, and are back down 1.5.

So glad to see that River Dancing jackass blow the game for the BoSox.

I thought the Rays were the better team. Dice-K kept letting lead off runner on almost every inning it seemed. Still, Sox almost win not playing very well.

OMG, is this game ever going to end? Top of the 14th now. Two very good teams that just will not blink. Great game, but getting to be a long one

Edit: Oh crap! huh.gif

Tampa pulls it out, despite Percival's meltdown. Hamel with a fantastic job in relief.

The lead is now 2.5.

Go Rays! Beat the Evil Empire II

I'm a Tribe fan by choice but I worked with Tampa's AA team a few years back, and some of the guys from that team are up with Tampa now, so I'm definitely pulling for them to do well.

Plus anyone that knocks off the Evil Empires is OK in my book.
Bmwolf21
Tampa missed a big chance to put some space between themselves and the Sox...blew a 4-1 lead in the second game of the Yanks DH'er and the Sox rallied to win their nightcap.
molson_golden2002
How about the Red Sox! Back in a tie for first with Beckett on the mound tonight.

Good average last week, but I need some steals and RBIs from Pedroia. A HR or two wouldn't hurt.

Nice to see the Rays take two of three and reopen their lead on the East. Now they get a fading Minnesota team that has lost four in a row, including a sweep at the hands of the Tribe.
molson_golden2002
Wild Card at best for the Red Sox. Dn't think they will catch Rays now. Tough loss last night. Couple of crazy plays killed a few Sox runs. Oh well.

Why is Kotsay still in there? He is an automatic out. Put Jacoby in right and Crisp in center, at least you will have a solid batting lineup. And can't they find a way to play Casey more?
molson_golden2002
thumbsup.gif MVP!

And Coco Crisp to the Royals for a really good pitcher. I'm liken it!
