Not a bad price, but if you plan on gaming I would recommend getting at least an 8800. What else does it include (mouse, keyboard, wireless G card, etc.) ?

Also, even using XP Pro, you might find that you are unable to utilize the entire 4 gig of RAM, although Fez or BlueFire might be able to comment more on that.

It's a memory addressing issue with the 32-bit version of Windows XP. You can use PAE with the 32-bit version of XP, but its kind of a nasty solution.

If its a 64-bit version of XP or Vista, it won't have that issue.

Although if it's a 64-bit version of XP, he'll run into lots of other issues - mainly there aren't many drivers for it.
