Big upset this week, as the top ranked Isotopes are taken down by the Sand Devils, who held Springfield QB Carson Palmer in check as he finished w/ 0 TDs and 2 INTs in the game. Great job by Tempe.

Congrats to the Maryland Crabs for getting their first win of the season. Derek Anderson, who leads the league in passing yards, torched the Green Bay defense for 500 yards and 4 TDs in leading the Crabs.

Green Bay loses CB Samari Rolle for the next 8 weeks w/ a knee injury. Tough loss for the Water Boys.

Offensively, Anderson was the standout this week. Defensive standouts were Adewala Ogunleye of the Maryland Crabs and A.J. Hawk of the Tempe Sand Devils. Roscoe Parrish turned in a solid effort for the special teams.

Next week, we're back w/ a bunch of big games, including the battle of the unbeatens 'tween the Pittsburgh River Rats and the Erie Assassins, both 5-0 and tied atop the Kent Hull Division. Other key games will be Seattle (4-1) @ Colorado (2-3), Texas (3-2) @ New Orleans (2-3), and a big one in the Bruce Smith Division as 5-0 Philadelphia travels to 4-1 Cincinnati.

See ya next week.

Thanks man, let's try to make it 2 in a row.

Well, you need to shape that defense up to the point where they can limit your opponents' scoring ability. Your team can score points (you have the #1 ranked offense in the league), so you just need to be able to slow the other teams down enough to give yourself a chance to win.

BTW, I did a bit of research, and Anderson's 500 yards is the 3rd best total in league history.

2nd: Seneca Wallace of the former St Louis Drain Babies (currently the Oakland Chain Gang), who had 501 yards and 5 TDs w/ 1 INT in week 4 of last year

Record: Jake Delhomme of the Chicago Canned Heat, who had 506 yards and 3 TDs in week 14 of last year
