Griffey decided not to block the trade from Cincinnati to the ChiSox (as was his right at a 10-5 player). It will be good to see him (a) on a contender (b) in the AL where he can DH and pad those HR stats.

Talk is though that he won't DH, and either the Sox will deal a OFer or will move the CF to 1st, and have Griffey play CF, which he hasn't done since 2006. I believe the Sox already have a decent DH.

Yeah, no doubt...he will definitely play CF for awhile. I just meant that it would be nice to see him remain in the AL so he could extend his career a few years as a DH.

Will the ChiSox keep him past the end of this year as a DH? If so that ends Thome's time in the Windy City.
