R. Rich
Vote for your pick as defensive top dog for the opening week.

Tough call, but I'm giving my vote to Peterson for his combination of tackles, sacks, pressures, passes defended, INT, and a partridge in a pear tree. Did the guy sell popcorn in the aisles during the offensive plays?

I was gonna vote for Smoot, since he singlehandedly had 2 FFs, 1 INT, and 10 tackles, but alas, I'll take Rolle

Smoot, a defensive back, having 10 tackles is as troubling as it is impressive (lots of catches given up, or lack of run support from the front seven?).

Peterson was just so effective in so many ways: rushing the passer ( 2 sacks, 1 QB pressure) and defending the run (4 tackles, 1 stuff) while also showing how well he can defend the pass and create turnovers w/ 4 pass breakups and an INT.

The first, as he was blindfolded for the game.

Yeah, but he didn't score 6 points, unlike Rolle.

erm... not to deflate your bubble but 2 of the 4 tackles were the two sacks. But overall i think this was a great performance

You're not alone.

Congrats to Mr Peterson.
