I was updating 7.xxxx's definition file today prior to running a scan - no updates, but an offer of new s/w...v. 8.0.
I installed it (and updated its' def. files).
Ran it - no issues.
Intel P4, Intel MoBo, non-SATA IDE, generic 128Mb vid card, FF v. 3.x, XP Home Ed.

I don't really like the new version very much - it seems pretty bloated, it scans webpages now too (google searches, anyway). I haven't removed it, but it doesn't seem that great to me...

Yep - seems the AV, malware crowd are in a race to "out-feature" each other.
