I definately LOVED the Baseball Hall of Fame Game. Im very sad they are no longer holding the game at Double Day Field. If anyone has ever been to it, they will know what im talking about. The parade, the HR Derby, the feel of an old time ball game on a small but yet nice field. To me its the only day where its truely NOT about money, its about the game.
The Hall of Fame Game was something my father and I did every year for the last 15 years. It was our father and son time, it was time we told our stories of ball we played when we were younger. All the chances for autographs from players, pictures of players you can get. I cant tell you how many autographs I have on a bat from the Hall of Fame Game. Atleast 15 hall of famers, some current players, to name a few, Varitek, Smoltz, Griffey, Peavy, Thome, Johnny Damon, Big papi, Maddux, all obtained for free.
Its a shame the game is no longer being played in Cooperstown. If you want the Hall of Fame Game saved please visit http://www.savethefamegame.com/
Thanks!
