I drafted him because I loved his story and wanted to root for him. I thought he would have a great year - but not this great. The guy is amazing for missing so much time - hell he is just amazing.

I dont have to read the article. I remember it happening right in front of my eyes here in Tampa.
I couldn't be more happier for him.

I was working with Tampa's AA affiliate (Orlando Rays) in 2003 and after disappearing from spring training, Hamiton showed up and worked out with the O-Rays for about a week, sometime in late May to early June, IIRC. We hoped they were going to activate him for a couple months' stint in AA and then a move up to Durham, but he was gone from the facility a few days after he arrived, with no word why. Found out later that it was another drug problem - I can't remember whether it was another failed test or just the team telling him to go home and get cleaned up.
Either way, watching him take BP was nothing short of awesome. He was hitting bombs out of the park all over the place - straightaway center, down the line in RF, the RC power alley...he can really rake. I'm glad he is getting his life together and is back playing ball.

I don't know if Milton Bradley would agree
http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=240450&...=headlines_mainSeems like the Royals broadcaster was talking about Hamilton and his change from when he had his problems, and then said some stuff about Bradley and how I guess he should learn from him after some of his on field antics.
Its hard to shake the perception you have an anger problem when you are going to charge up 4 flights of stairs to go after an announcer who apparently said some comments you felt were derogatory against you

That guy was completely right, his last sentence says it all.
