Suspect starting pitcher, Tom Glavine, counted on to lead the Mets' rotation, allowed one run and six hits in six innings. He only has 291 wins in his suspect career. I wonder if the suspect Mets can hold on.

Glavine looked good, though he is old and admits his style has changed considerably in order for him to stay in the game. I was thinking more of the rook in the bullpen who loaded the bases. Of course, Heilman was counted on to get 'em out.

BTW. In the Newspaper, here, 6 out of the 8 sports writers, pick the Jay's to take the AL East.

I think in 2005 the Cards learned a good lesson. They dominated baseball for the entire season and were caught by surprise at the end even though they were clearly the better team. Last year they paced themselves much better and showed their dominance in the playoffs where it belongs. My bet is that the lesson will carry them through this year too.
