Yasin's BILLS
1. Ivan Rodriguez-He's always been the best in the league, he's like a cat, and could throw you out from any base
2. Jorge Posada- its tough since im a yankees fan putting him at 2 but he is top 2 in my opinion and has a strong arm and always been a reliable hitter and catcher.
3. Paul Lo Duca- Held his ground with the mets really well, I don't know much about him but the mets were #1 in the whole NL last season
4. Joe Mauer AL batting champ
5. Yadier Molina is the best between his brothers faster than bengie well a snill is faster than bengie molina he's the slowest man in baseball.

In addition to your poor verb conjugation, you're comparing apples and oranges and kiwis, and Pudge, while one of the craftier defensive catchers out there, lost his punch when he stopped sipping on the juice. Still, great job recussitating Kenny Rogers and managing the young guns of D-Town. But Mauer, all-around, with his bat and what he has done for a Minnesota staff in flux, is the man.

1. Joe Mauer
2. Jason Varitek (healthy)
3. Jorge Posada
4. Ivan Rodriguez
5. Paul Lo Duca

If Bengie is slower than Yadie its not by much..... I think Yadier is the slowest man in baseball.

I would move Jorge Posada ahead and Ivan Rodriguez ahead of Varitek when healthy. Other than that I agree with your order. Mauer and Rodriguez are the two best catchers in the league right now.

again, what are your criteria?

If its offense, consider vic martinez, and Brian Mccann.

If its game calling, consider Jason Kendall, who did a phenomenal job handling the young arms in oakland last year.

Always liked Kendall. He's completely lost any pop he had in his bat but still hits for decent average. He deserved to be on a better team from 98-2000. Still calls a good game. Funny that he and Piazza are on the same team now, vying for time, when both were top catchers (OK, Piazza was never a top defensive catcher, but redefined offensive production from the position) in the NL for awhile.

I think we are basing it on all around game. Mauer and Rodriguez still are the two best all around catchers in the game.

piazza isnt going to see any time behind the plate in oakland. he's the 3rd string C. Kendall will start at C, and melhuse will be his back-up. Piazza is basically the emergency catcher. Even in interleague play, they are more likely to put piazza at 1B than behind the plate.

Either way, the C is just being kept warm for Kurt Suzuki to step in and start in '08.
