Please, no. All of the chat/shoutboxes I've encountered have been bastions of stupidity. People typing in search phrases thinking its a search box, stupid real-time comments, and a general waste of space.
Forums should be simple, not busy. That is one of the reason why I've always preferred TSW over other forums.
