Diamondbacks

The D'Backs finally dropped purple and teal.

Reds

The Reds drop some of the black and pick up an awesome new font.

(Note to the Sabres: THIS is how you re-do uniforms.)

The DBacks just look like Astros colors now. They probably could have gone to a royal blue and real gold for something more original looking.

Yup, how can we tell the difference between the d'backs, astros, and nationals? Whats sports teams and bandwagon jersey changes? a few years ago, almost every tema went with dome form of teal or purple, now is it going to be red and gold?

If you're a uniform nerd (like me) and really pay attention to this junk, the difference is pretty clear.

The Nats have a traditional red, like the American flag.

The 'Stros "rust" (that's what they call it) is an orange-red.

The new D'Backs is more of a rose red or wine. It's closer to what the Nats have but definitely deeper.

The Astros and D'Backs still won't look anything alike because Houston's primary hats will still be solid black and the new Arizona hats are solid red.

I think that the Stros and DBacks are going to look pretty close. The Stros do have a red cap as well. Teams just change too much. I'm going to be one of the few who goes out on a limb and says I liked the Stros unis from the 60s-early 80s, too, and the gold star on Navy 'Stros were pretty sharp, too.

The D'Backs did need to lose the teal and purple. Just thought it could have been something more original than a shades of red difference w/ the Stros, who are, after all, sort of a nearby team in the NL.
