I saw the end of the game in the bottom of the ninth and I am still in shock. I didn't see the first of the four consecutive home runs hit (first by Jeff Kent, then JD Drew, Russell Martin and then on the next pitch Marlon Anderson) but I was fortunate to see the other three. Four consecutive home runs to tie the game at 9! That is the first time that has happened in 42 years. If the game is replayed at some time maybe on ESPN and you love baseball, you don't want to miss this game. It went into extra innings also and the Padres got 1 run in the top of the tenth and the Dodgers answered with 2 in the bottom of the tenth on a Nomar Garciaparra walk off home run. Incredible.

I did catch this game as I was up late last night and I have the MLB package. Unbelievable! The first two home runs to lead off the bottom of the 9th made it 9-7, and then SD brought in Hoffman, who has absolutely dominated LA this year and throughout his career. Hoffman's first pitch- BOOM! Martin crushes it to make it 9-8. Hoffman's second pitch- BOOM! Anderson scorches one. The place was going absolutely crazy.
Big props to the Padres for a huge two-out hit in the 10th to re-take the lead. They bounced back well. Unfortunately their bullpen couldn't seal the deal as Nomar crushed a 3-1 pitch into the bleachers for the win.
You said it best- INCREDIBLE. This is amazing if it happened in May, but in a pennant race in September, with the two teams a half-game apart for 1st place, it's just unreal.
