Strange question, I know. For whatever reason, I feel like somebody will toss a no-no this weekend.

They are definitely rare, occuring on average less than twice per season. However, somebody is due- the last no-hitter in MLB was May 18, 2004 thrown by Randy Johnson.

I once went to NYC for the weekend to visit friends and go to my first MLB game ever...we went out to the Hamptons on Friday, where about 15, 20 somethings rented a house for the summer....we partied like rock stars all weekend...my buddies gf was supposed to come out Saturday night and bring us to the Bronx for a 2pm game on Sunday..they got into an arguement, she never came...we partied until 8am Sunday Morning...missed the train into the Bronx....Dave Cone throws a perfect game...I smash my head against the wall for 3 hours....good times

Nah, I don't see it happening this year. There's a thick cloud with some letters emerging. I'm seeing next June. June 2007. A Blue bird named Burnett? Hmmm. Yes, that's it. A.J. Burnett for the Blue Jays will toss one. huh.gif What? You don't believe me or something?

I will go out on a limb and say that a Met will not throw a no-no.

I was thinking that the other day...it seemed like there hasnt been a no-no in a while....turns out 2004 was the last one. Wow. Seemed like a few years back there was one thrown every week. Stats dont back that up, but it feels like it.

Rookie Anibal Sanchez threw a no-hitter tonight for the Marlins in a 2-0 victory. Arizona was the culprit.

I knew one was coming!!!

Ink, you can't be too happy about the Sox saying 'no thanks' to Sanchez, especially with their pitching woes. Granted, the guy did have surgery on this throwing shoulder in '03, which is always scary, but he's now 7-2 for the Marlins.
