Absolutely mind numbing- they knowingly exaggerate a story, just to try to come up with something newsworthy.

The jeers he here's at home are nowhere near what they are being made out to be.

I'm not so sure that they're trying to come up with something newsworthy instead of trying to create a story to create a buzzstorm around him.

There have been two recent games I can remember where Alex's defensive errors eventually resulted in the deciding runs in Yankees' losses. Outside of those, ESPN has been killing him mercilessly. They love showing how the highest-paid player in MLB goofs up and doesn't come through when he's needed. Their anti-Yankee bias is the other reason why they show him failing...even in the most miniscule way. I don't know if Fox is as bad, but I wouldn't really let them off the hook here, either.
