Nice little trade.

I would've loved for the Angels to have added this guy but I don't even think he was on their radar. They're busy trying to mortgage their future for "name" players who don't fit the team's needs. mad.gif

Wow, talk about dealing from a position of strength. This team is awesome.

Awesome. I drove down to Pittsburgh at the end of June to watch Detroit, and I was thinking that Casey would be a perfect fit for the Tigers. Lefty-swinging 1B who is proven....Shelton has been in a three month slump and was dropped to 8th in the order. This is a great pickup. I don't know much at all about Rogers, but their current pitching staff is so young that I assume they can give up a minor league arm. Great pickup, IMO.

Hopefully Shelton can pull his swing together down in Toledo and can get hot again when the rosters expand in Sept.

Rogers has some good numbers in AA, but by all accounts he is a mid-level prospect. Good move for the Tigs.
