I wish more managers would act like this. If Ozzie acted like this, he would be a hero.

I saw that this morning - the best was going back to the dugout and after a minute or so (enough time for a normal person to think about their actions) this guy thought it would be a good idea to calmly walk to home plate and to pour out his water bottle onto home plate.

That was one of the bigger melt downs I have ever seen.

I think by that time he had transferred his rage to the homeplate ump. He appeared to be trying to show him what a strike zone looked like. Friggin idiot had a temper tantrum like a 2 year old.

You see the batboy? He thought about going out to pick up the bats that the manager tossed on the field. After taking a look into the dugout he decided that he should probably wait a while.

Oh yeah, it was also great when the manager squated down in the catcher's position in order to show the ump where the strike zone was.

The whole F-ing thing was great! Apparently, the guy at second was Roger Clemens's son.

Probably the best meltdown I've ever seen.

He went two up on anything Piniella ever did...first by sliding into second base, then by taking the water bottle and cleaning home plate, with the throw down of the bottle when it was empty.

Classic!

I realized that the link above does not show the whole video. The whole video shows how long this tantrum really went and how there were periods where rational people would have collected themselves. However this guy was just using the small intervals of peace to think of more irrational behavior.
