"The right-hander is 6-foot-4 and weighs 240 pounds. According to his biography, Myers was an amateur boxer until age 13."
Usually this kinda stuff happens in the privacy of athletes homes. He did this right on the street corner! Talk about balls!

What a douchebag. If true, I hope he gets jail time.

A $200 bail for assault against a woman half your size? Gee, it's a real wonder that no one takes domestic violence seriously in this country.
I'm sure justice will be swift....he'll probably be in court to get his probation right after the season ends.

Maybe Ozzie Guillen and him will be in the same class. Then they can beat the sh-- out of each other.

Anyone see his quote about this?
He's sorry that the incident was made public, and he's embarassed. Not that he feels like a huge POS for hitting his wife and allegedly pulling her around by her hair and begs for forgiveness. He's embarassed because it's public.
And let's call the Phils GM a POS too. Myers will continue to pitch because he "gives the team it's best chance to win."

Upon reading Philly's GM state that it was in the "best interest of the team to have him pitch" the last game, I've been pretty annoyed with this whole organization. Tell me all you want about how strong the players union is and how they would have demanded Myers to pitch. I'm not buying it. If you are a class ball club, you handle this internally and no freakin way is he going out on the mound the day after it happened.
