I need to lose like 20-30 pounds in 3 weeks to fit in a suit for a wedding. Any tips angel.gif

Get the suit re-fitted. You could probably drop 10 depending on how much extra weight you're carrying in water, but 30 pounds in 3 weeks would be tough and not healthy.

Ya getting the suit refitted is a possibility. I have been going to kickboxing 2 times a week so i feel a bit lighter but i still eat more than i should.

Try getting food poisoned. I lost 12 pounds in a week.

It's virtually impossible to safely lose that kind of weight in that time period. 3-5 pounds per week is about the most you can lose without risking your health and most people can't do that for more than a month or so.

The best thing to do is eat 3-4 small meals per day (no more than 4 ounces of lean meat at any one sitting, with plenty of veggies and fruits and a slice of whole grain bread. No more than 3 small servings of dairy per day.

Add to that 3 days of light weight lifting and the other days do some cardio that doesn't get your heart rate over 140. That'll speed up your metabolism.

No alcohol, absolutely no soda of any kind, and plenty of water to wash all the crap out of your system. You can have pure cranberry juice if you want a change up.

Follow what AD said. There's no way to safely loose that much weight in that short of a time.

I did. I split it out from the topic you posted it in, since it didn't fit in with the other thread, plus this way it would get more attention.

I quit lifting weights. I really found it boring. I do thai boxing 2 -3 times a week because i enjoy it and the cardio is intense which makes it really enjoyable. I have a lot of trouble with the food though, but i'm getting better.

Thanks for the advice.

I don't know if you belong to an athletic club that includes spinning classes but they are great for burning calories, cardio intensity, losing weight (water and fat) and building muscle. Since you are in a room filled with other people spinning on the bike with you, it makes it harder to quit and not keep up. Give it a try!

Well the cardio i do at thai boxing classes greatly surpasses any cardio workout i have done at the gym. Half hour of intense varying warmups, as well as one hour of practicing the style. But I also go to a gym, and they don't have spinning classes. I could probably borrow my brothers since he has one and add it to my workouts.

just working on my golf course gives me plenty of excercise, but i agree cardio is key to a healthy heart and keeping your weight off. Winters are where i gain weight because i get seriously lazy.
