Thank you for the belittlement.
I'm not sure you looked at the site. Learning things like the fact that the candy bar you eat to satisfy hunger actually increases it, and that it drives blood sugar up, which causes more insulin sectretion, which then directly stores that excess glucose as fat.
Or that their nifty Nutrition Target map shows foods that are filling but not nutritious, those that are the reverse, and so forth. That talks at length about things like Atkins diet, South Beach etc.
Or the feature, that after you reference the data on one food, will allow you to pull up a descending list of better alternatives. That's a particularly useful feature - it's listed in order of how filling the food is - the general idea being, if you eat things that satisfy your hunger, you will begin to consume less overall calories - and that's how, in general, you lose weight , along with exercise
And the info and advice in the following items in the Topics section are supurb advice and explanations.

heh
The problem is this is stuff that should be taught in schools at a young age. I always was someone who liked to try alternatives, cutting down on this, cutting down on that.
Then I came to the realization that the reason most people are overweight is not because they eat too much but because they just eat too much of the wrong things. This site will help that a lot, but basically eating 3 square meals a day, while decreasing your sugar consumption while getting in at least 30 minutes a day of exercise will cause dramatic results.
In the end cutting out the fast food (even when they offer healthy alternatives such as Mcdonalds salads

) and eating your own stuff, whether it be pasta or a well grilled steak is a good start.
Personally I don't have the discipline so i decided im gonna do Thai Boxing and go to the gym since I crave junk food all the time.
