Although the Mets needed bullpen help, I think this is a better trade for Baltimore. I think Benson is solid as a starter. You know he can pitch and he's reliable.

That's the part I'm most upset about. I'll miss seeing her half naked in the Post every other week.

I think the O's got the better end of the deal, although I know the Mets need the bullpen help and they feel they have five good starters already.

Put me in the minority on this one...I like the deal for the Mets.

I bet Julio thrives in this situation....wont have to be the closer....and he has the stuff to be a solid setup guy.

Benson to me is like Rob Johnson in a way, flashes of brilliance, a tease if you will, and then he never lives up to expectations.

They HAD to dump Benson. His wife was causing all kinds of problems. Kinda sad thats the reason, but there was a lot going on with her, calling out players on the Mets team in public, the front office, the whole Christams outfit flap. She got to be a real loose cannon and a disruption.
