Wright
Delgado
Floyd
LoDuca
2B- ? Is it gonna be Matsui?
RF - ?

Nice top six.

If this holds true, I guess the Marlins are starting fresh for this season, other than Miguel Cabrera, who is untouchable in that organization.

It's done, LoDuca to the Mets.

I wonder how much mileage a 33 year old catcher has left. He's a good player but he's at the age most guys at that position start to break down.

Meh........I dont know. If they were going to go with an older catcher for this type of coin, I can think of a certain one thats a free agent that would be a better fit.

The Piazza/Casto combi did quite well for the Mets last year. In fact, they led the league in "production" from the C position with that platoon. Whats the advantage with LoDuca over the "Pastro" platoon?

LoDuca is such a slap happy hitter he'd be good in the two hole with the Mets, but yeah you gotta wonder at what point he's going to be not so good.

Looks like the Mets are going to sign Grudzielanek too...

Part of the Mets signing him may be predicated on them finding a taker for at least part of Kaz Matsui's salary.

I'd say leadership. LoDuca is supposed to be great in the locker room. I think the proof is in the pudding but I don't think I'd risk alot to get a guy playing that position who is that age. Do they have someone in the system that's 2 years out? Perhaps that's the reason (stopgap).
