Full Version: Gary Barnett says no huddle an insult to his team

At halftime Gary Barnett, Colorado coach, was being interviewed by some reporter when he says Nebraska insulted his team by going to the no huddle against them.

The TV announcer later said Barnett meant it was an insult because that's what Colorado does to visiting teams (because they have the advantage of high altitude breathing).

SO in essence he was saying that Nebraska was disrespecting his team because they had the audacity to go no huddle when only Colorado had the right to go no huddle.

There's an old basketball saying, "a team that presses never likes to be pressed". But when Pitino's bb teams themselves get pressed, he doesn't whine.

Gary Barnett has lost any respect I still had for him. What a crybaby. Colorado football is in shambles because of him.

I saw that and couldn't believe a Coach would make such a statement just after the first half was completed. Was he already conceding the game ? I could see if there were 2 minutes left in the game...but this was the 2nd quarter ! doh.gif

It could've been worse. Nebraska could've had a female kicker.
Clockwork
Barnett is kind of an idiot. In fact, he is an idiot.

It's a disgrace that Branett kept his job after the Katie Hnida fiasco.
