Nice move on both sides, Boston needs an ace(as long as he can stay healthy) plus Lowell can still play a helluva 3B defensviely and Florida needs prospects that aren't going to run them tons of money.

The Marlins need to be moved to Las Vegas.

Good trade for Boston and a shame for the Marlins fans to see another fire sale.

Apparently Boston doesn't need a GM to work deals.

This trade will help the BoSox a lot. When I saw it on the ticker, at first I thought it was AJ Burnett. Beckett is a nasty pitcher when he's healthy. He's had a bum shoulder, and that blister problem always seems to be festering. But he'll have a good chance to win 20 with that run support.

Lowell is a solid 3B who has always been a hitter, except for last year. He should be able to find his stroke again upon leaving the cavernous Pro Player Stdm. Now his 295 foot flyball outs will be sand wedge homeruns over the monster. So I guess Bill Mueller is gone?

Someone talk to me about this SS Boston gave up. I heard he was supposed to be the real deal???
