i just got off the phone with the 1 800 -331 - 0573 hurricane update phone #for holiday inn . the lady on the phone said that everyone should call that number to make sure that you are canceled for this weekend in NO . ....... you should call that number to make sure you have a room this weekend for the game in texas , as many of the holiday inns are over booked because of Rita ........ hope you all have fun at the game

They gave you slightly bad info mead. If your reservations were called in as part of the Buffalo Bills room block at the Holiday Inn Superdome, NO - the block has already been cancelled. If you called in separately, or on a "pre-pay" you'll need to call & cancel.

And if you reserved your room in the Buffalo Bills block at the Holiday Inn in San Antonio, you don't have to re-confirm - I've already done it. Unless you're canceling or changing your reservation.

that's incorrect.

I think they cancelled the discount for the block, but not the reservations for the rooms.

I booked as part of the Bills block in New Orleans and when I called today they still have the reservation on the books.

Everyone should call to cancel.

Oh well - I guess we're getting different stories here.

I explained to them that there were many people in our block that we wouldn't know how to communicate with (other than this board). The supervisor was going to run a list of all reservations under that block and make sure they didn't get charged a "no show" rate.

That was kind of ironic. They would charge a "no show" rate when the hotel is closed down? Go figure! dry.gif

I called the Hurricane number and I did still have a reservation (and I did call the hotel for the Bills rate when I booked).

The man told me that he would cancel for me and gave me a cancellation number.

He said I probably would not have been charged but it was a good idea to have anyone with a reservation call and cancel.
